The Rajasthan government, which has come on the back foot regarding the controversial bill related to the registration of child marriage, has started preparing to withdraw it. When this bill was passed in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly last month, there was a huge uproar. The opposition party BJP had called it an attempt to recognize child marriage. Amidst these criticisms, the Rajasthan government has decided to withdraw the marriage bill from the governor.

बाल विवाह के रजिस्ट्रेशन से जुड़े विवादित बिल को लेकर बैकफुट पर आ चुकी राजस्थान सरकार इसे वापस लेने की तैयार शुरू कर चुकी है। राजस्थान विधानसभा में पिछले माह ये बिल पारित कराया गया था तो भारी हंगामा हुआ था. विपक्षी दल बीजेपी ने इसे बाल विवाह को मान्यता देने का प्रयास बताया था. इन आलोचनाओं के बीच राजस्थान सरकार ने मैरिज बिल को राज्यपाल के पास से वापस लेने का फैसला किया है.
