In Aaj Tak's special program India Today Conclave 2021, farmers' leader Rakesh Tikait, while speaking about agricultural laws, said that farmers will lose their land due to contract farming. Talking about Himachal Pradesh, Rakesh Tikait said that the contract that is being done in Himachal Pradesh right now is for the crop, the farmer is contracting for apples in the state. The Government got it cheap by Rs 16, but the general public did not get it at the same price. When farmers do not get the rates of crops, then they will have no option left rather than leaving their lands.
