No Quarantine For Indian Travellers Going To UK From Monday, Foreign Tourists To Be Allowed Into India From Nov 15
  • 3 years ago
Starting October 11, Indians who are fully vaccinated with Covishield or any other UK-approved vaccine will not be quarantined on arrival in Britain. The announcement was made by Alex Ellis, the British High Commissioner to India. This decision ends the row over what was perceived as unfair imposition of Covid-19 quarantine rules. Meanwhile, India has decided to lift the Covid-19 barrier for international travellers by resuming the grant of tourist visas. The Ministry of Affairs will start granting fresh tourist visas to foreigners coming to India from November 15. For those coming on chartered flights, visas would be granted starting October 15. India reported 21,257 new Covid-19 cases and 271 deaths in the last 24 hours.
