Prices of petrol and diesel surged once again on October 07 across metros, touching a record high in the country. The price of petrol was increased by 35 paise in Delhi and stood at Rs 103.24 per litre. Price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 109.25 per litre, up by 29 paise. Kolkata saw the highest surge of 29 paise, pushing the rate to Rs 103.94 per litre while in Chennai the revised price of petrol is Rs 100.75 a litre. Similarly, the price of diesel was hiked by nearly 26 paise.
