Robredo To Run For President

Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo on Thursday announced that she will run for president in the 2022 elections.

Robredo, chairman of the Liberal Party, made the announcement before October 8, the last day of filing certificates of candidacy (CoC).The opposition group 1Sambayan chose her as its presidential candidate for the 2022 elections.

In August, Robredo said in the radio show BISErbisyong Leni that she will not withdraw if she files a CoC.
