Rahul Gandhi denied permission by UP Govt to visit Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Government on Tuesday denied permission to a 5-member delegation of the Congress Party led by Rahul Gandhi to visit Lakhimpur Kheri district in the wake of Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) that has been imposed in Lucknow. Rahul Gandhi had written a letter to the State Government in this regard. Notably, Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Lucknow today and would also meet his sister Priyanka Gandhi who is detained in Lucknow. Besides, he would be holding a press conference before his city visit.
