Bitcoin Hits 12-day High

Bitcoin continued a massive string of gains on Friday as it rose over 9% to a 12-day high near $48,000 per coin. As the largest cryptocurrency in the world, Bitcoin tends to lead the dance on the crypto market, giving investors an idea of how digital coins will perform. Other coins like Ether and Ripple were up 7% and 5% respectively. Analyst Joseph Edwards of Enigma Securities noted high volumes on crypto derivatives seem to be driving recent movement.
