Chinese EV Companies Go To Europe
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers are heading to Europe, hoping to steal marketshare from traditional European brands. Nio Inc is launching its ES8 electric SUV on Thursday, marking its first big move outside of China. Other Chinese brands like Aiways, Tang, MG, VOYAH and ORA are also selling or plan to sell cars in Europe in the near future. While old adages about German people buying German cars and French people buying French cars persist, Nio stock was up in early trading along with XPeng ($XPEV@China) and Li Auto ($LI@China).
