Concerns Wimmera could ‘lose out’ in healthcare merger overhaul

Residents in the Wimmera are worried a plan to overhaul healthcare in western Victoria will turn their local hospitals into the ‘poor cousins’ of those in Ballarat. Health services in Horsham, Edenhope and Stawell have asked the state government for permission to merge with the much larger Ballarat health services.
