Kanhaiya Kumar joined Congress today in the presence of Rahul Gandhi. Independent MLA from Gujarat Jignesh Mevani also joined the same party, but he has not formally joined the Congress yet. While addressing the press conference held by Congress, Kanhaiya Kumar said that the country will be saved only when Congress will survive. Kanhaiya further said that the Congress party is that party that calls itself a democratic party, with independence, with its full assertiveness, questioning the power and fighting for the rights of the people, will remain with us in the struggle. We will have allies and this family is not a Sangh Parivar. The family which leaves its family is not called a family. Even Mahatma Gandhi had fought with the British along with Kasturba Gandhi, without leaving his family. And these people left their families. Watch this video.
