B-roll video featuring the AV-8B Harrier II aircraft while performing flight operations(short vertical takeoffs, hovering and vetical landings) off the amphibious ships USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) and USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) at sea.

The AV-8B Harrier II is a subsonic single-engine aircraft that constitutes the second generation of the Harrier Jump Jet family. Capable of vertical or short takeoff and landing (V/STOL).

The aircraft was designed in the late 1970s. The AV-8B entered service with the United States Marine Corps in January 1985. Currently the USMC AV-8Bs are being replaced by the F-35B Lightning II, with the former expected to operate its Harriers until 2025.
