Auerbach Center -- Jayson Tatum spoke to reporters at 2021 Celtics Media Day. Tatum told reporters: "I had a good summer. I was fortunate to be a part of that team and win a gold medal. I learned a lot from that. From competing overseas and competing with those guys every day in practice." Tatum said Ime Udoka coaching hard is "Holding everyone accountable. Everyone is excited for a fresh new start." Tatum went on to say how he embraces being one of the Celtics franchise players: "I get it. Everyone knows that me and Jaylen (Brown) are the guys. I'm ready to go. Same as last year. Same as the year before." In regards to getting vaccinated he said it's everyone's own choice: "I understand those who aren't, and I understand people like myself who did (get vaccinated)." Tatum did confirm he got vaccinated. Jayson responded the the social media frenzy about him getting stronger saying: "I'm just getting older. My body is starting to fill out more as I mature."
