Auerbach Center -- Celtics Point Guard Dennis Schroder spoke to reporters at 2021 Celtics Media Day for the first time. Schroder talked about signing with Boston: "I've had some battles against the Celtics. I remember the playoffs against Isaiah Thomas. I'm just happy to be here. I'll do whatever it takes to win...It's going to be nice to have them cheering for me. I remember those playoffs. I don't think getting booed is a bad thing by the opposing fans, but it'll be nice to have them on my side." Dennis was asked about turning down a reported $84M extension offer from the Lakers: "I never had that contract in front of me. We were talking about it, but I never had that in front of me...Money isn't everything. I still got a nice deal for me and my family."
