The Lord Provost “greeting” Scottish WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre as he arrives in Glasgow ahead of the final WWE Live UK show. The two exchange gifts; a WWE Championship Title from Drew and Glaswegian tartan and quaich and whisky from The Lord Provost.

Born and raised in Ayr in Scotland near Glasgow, Drew McIntyre has had strong ties with Glasgow all his life, from studying at uni to training in wrestling.
The final leg of WWE’s Live UK Tour will therefore see him return home on its closing tonight, Wednesday 22nd September.
To welcome the “local boy who did good” back into the city, the Lord Provost will be “greeting” Drew outside his place of work, the City Chambers when Drew arrives by open top bus.
