Congress leader and former chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah on September 22 reacted to the allotment of land to the Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) and stated that the state government is misusing its powers. "Congress is opposing Chanakya University Bill, 2021. The members of the CESS sponsoring body of the university are all RSS members. This institution won't benefit the people at large," said Siddaramaiah.
