The Byron, Kempsey and Tweed LGAs will go back into lockdown from 5pm today after a COVID case from Sydney was infectious in several communities on the NSW north coast. The case involved an authorised worker who flew from Sydney to Ballina on Saturday morning and spent a number of days in the region. The lockdown will initially last for 7 days.
