Punjab CM Amarinder Singh resigns along with 20 MLAs

Amid the ongoing internal turmoil of the state Congress, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh stepped down from his post. Captain Amarinder Singh submitted his resignation to Governor Banwarilal Purohit. Raninder Singh confirmed it and tweeted a photo of the Captain handing over his resignation to the Governor. This comes after the turmoil came to ahead today even as Congress has called for a key CLP meet amid complaints against the chief minister. This also comes hours after Captain was believed to have told the high command that he cannot continue in the party with this kind of humiliation.
