Sukhbir Singh Badal And Harsimrat Kaur Badal Detained In Delhi Over Anti-Farm Laws Protest

Sukhbir Singh Badal, Akali Dal chief, Harsimrat Kaur, Lok Sabha MP along with a dozen other leaders were detained by Delhi Police on September 17. Badal and the others were detained for violating Section 144. They were taken to the Parliament Street Police Station. Harsimrat Kaur tweeted, “It's an undeclared EMERGENCY!” The video tweeted by Harsimrat Kaur Badal showed chaotic scenes in central Delhi. Party workers tried to push past police barricades to start their protest march. The Akali Dal Twitter handle tweeted, “When dictatorship is a fact, revolution is a duty!” Farmers have been protesting against the centre's farm laws since November last year.
