Comelec: Online voting 'promising,' may raise voter turnout

In an online briefing with CNN Philippines, Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said the youth make up 52% of the total registered voters. This means out of more than 60-million registered Filipinos, more than half are from 18 to 40 years old. Meantime, the Comelec sees good potential for online voting in succeeding elections. The poll body conducted its first online voting dry run over the weekend.
