Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh who was born into a royal family in the Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh in 1886, Singh was a social reformer. He was a great freedom fighter and Marxist revolutionary and an alumnus of the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental Collegiate School, later called Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), he was active in the political arena from a young age. Influenced by the speeches of Dadabhai Naoroji and Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh became deeply involved with the Swadeshi movement. He also participated in the 1911 Balkan War with his fellow students at the college. In 1925 he declared himself as the President of Kabul. Watch this video.
