Heavy Rains Lash Odisha, Red Alert Issued In Seven Districts, IMD Predicts Depression Over Bay Of Bengal

Red alert has been issued in seven districts of Odisha for the next 24 hours due to heavy rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on September 12 issued an orange alert in six districts & a yellow alert in eight districts. IMD predicted heavy to very heavy rains in 1-2 districts. It predicted flash floods as well. State government has asked the district administrations to be prepared for the eventuality. IMD also confirmed that a depression has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal adjoining the Odisha coast. Heavy rainfall has disrupted normal life in the state. Several roads & streets have been waterlogged due to heavy rains in Bhubaneswar. Watch the video to know more.
