Patel replaced Vijay Rupani as the chief minister of Gujarat, with just more than a year to go for elections in the state. BJP has once again surprised Bhupendra Patel as the next CM of the state. Surprised because the name of Patel, who became an MLA for the first time, did not appear even once in the race for the Chief Minister. The discussion was of different names but BJP made a completely new face the CM of Gujarat. Bhupendra Patel met Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat this evening after being elected as CM. The Governor congratulated him on becoming the Chief Minister of the state. CR Patil was also present during this meet. The swearing-in ceremony of the new CM of Gujarat will now take place tomorrow.
