Spectrum licensing auction on hold

The Independent Communications Authority of SA has put its plans for a spectrum licensing auction on hold. This follows a court ruling earlier this year when Telkom, MTN and our sister company eTV complained about the way licences would be awarded for TV broadcasters and smaller companies. The delay comes at a time when additional emergency spectrum awarded to accommodate high data traffic during the lockdown, is being recalled. Courtesy #DStv403
