Thousands of protesting farmers marched towards the mini secretariat in Haryana's Karnal after talks with the state government failed on Tuesday. The protest march moved from Namaste chowk to the secretariat. Farmer unions had demanded action against officials over the lathi-charge against protesters on August 28 in Karnal, saying that they would, otherwise, lay siege on the Karnal mini-secretariat. Protesting farmers were seen hopping over barricades amid police deployment on their way to the office of the mini-secretariat. As farmers tried to forcibly enter the secretariat's office, police started using water cannons on the demonstrators. Watch this video.
