Thousands of farmers marched to the district headquarters in Haryana's Karnal and gheraoed it after talks with the BJP-led state government failed on Tuesday. Farmer unions had demanded action against officials over the lathi charge against protesters on August 28 in Karnal, saying that they would, otherwise, lay siege on the Karnal mini-secretariat. A delegation of 11 farm leaders was invited by the state administration for talks over the same. The farmers staged a protest overnight and now are planning to demonstrate an indefinite strike in Karnal. Watch this video.
