TikTok Overtakes Youtube In Average Watch Time

According to app analytics firm App Annie, TikTok users in the United States now spend more time each month watching content than YouTube users. TikTok first overtook YouTube last August, and as of June 2021, users watched more than 24 hours of content per month. This is compared to 22 hours and 40 minutes for YouTube. In the UK, viewers watch ten more hours of TikTok each month compared to YouTube. The figures only include viewers on Android phones, but the data is still telling of TikTok’s meteoric rise in a few short years.
