Under the aegis of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), a massive 'Kisan Mahapanchayat' in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar kicked off on Sunday where the farmers' body launched 'Mission Uttar Pradesh-Uttarakhand' to give a boost to their protest against Centre's farm laws. Important announcements related to the Kisan morcha's Bharat bandh call were also made at Sunday's mahapanchayat. Thousands of farmers from 15 states gathered at the Government Inter College (GIC) ground in Muzaffarnagar to participate in the mahapanchayat aimed at "saving the country", just months ahead of the crucial UP assembly polls. There was a maha panchayat of farmers in Muzaffarnagar, UP, but more political noise was heard than the issue of farmers. PM Modi and CM Yogi were targeted in this Mahapanchayat.
