Anti-Taliban fighters say they have pushed back attacks, injured hundreds of Taliban forces

Clashes have been ongoing between the Taliban and forces loyal to local leader Ahmad Masoud in Afghanistan’s Panjshir province, with both sides claiming to have inflicted casualties on each other. Anti-Taliban fighters in Panjshir say they have pushed back attacks and injured hundreds of Taliban forces. Masoud’s supporters say the Taliban launched attacks from four different directions, but have been unable to reach the valley. That is while the Taliban deny casualties on their side. The group says it has advanced well into Panjshir and unofficially claims to have fully taken the valley after defeating resistance forces there.
