Janmashtami means the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, this festival is celebrated with great pomp across the country including Gokul-Mathura. According to the Hindu calendar, Krishna Kanhaiya was born in Mathura at midnight on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Shri Krishna Janmashtami 2021: देश भर में आज (सोमवार) यानी 30 अगस्त को जन्माष्टमी का त्योहार मनाया जा रहा है. श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी को गोकुल अष्टमी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है. हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार, हर साल भाद्रपद माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी तिथि को भगवान कृष्ण का जन्मोत्सव धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है. इस दिन लोग व्रत रखते हैं, दिन भर पूजन करते हैं, भोग बनाते हैं। घरों में उत्सव सा माहौल रहता है, भक्त श्रीकृष्ण की पालकी सजाते हैं और झांकियां भी निकाली जाती हैं। साल 2021 में जन्माष्टमी आज यानी सोमवार, 30 अगस्त को मनाई जा रही है। बता दें कि अष्टमी तिथि की शुरुआत रविवार रात 11 बजकर 25 मिनट से हुई थी जो आज देर रात 01 बजकर 59 मिनट तक रहेगी।
