In the latest Celtics news, the team has announced extensions for Center Robert Williams and guard/forward Josh Richardson. The Winning Play Podcast discuss how its' a win-win for both sides, as the Celtics try to rebuild their image.

Williams deal is for $54 million over four years, and according to cohost of Winning Play Rich Levine, not fully guaranteed. Last season, Williams averaged career highs in points (8.0 ppg), rebounds (6.9 rpg), assists (1.8 apg), steals (0.8 spg), blocked shots (1.8 bpg) and minutes (18.9 mpg).

"Rob has worked hard to turn himself into a very impactful player, and his talent and selfless play give him an even higher upside to reach going forward," said Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens.

As for Richardson, to a one-year extension that pays him $24 million over the next two seasons. Acquired in a trade with Dallas last month, the 27-year-old offensive numbers dipped last season, but just two seasons ago he averaged a career-high 16.6 points with Miami.

"We feel fortunate to be able to extend Josh," Stevens said. "He is a talented offensive player, a versatile defender, and plays with an edge and toughness that Boston fans will love."
