The Centre called an all-party meeting on Thursday to discuss the situation in Afghanistan. During the meeting, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar briefed floor leaders of various political parties on the evacuation status of Indians in Afghanistan. Foreign Affairs Minister S Jaishankar briefed on the rescue operation being carried out by India in Afghanistan and threw light on how many Indians have returned, how many are still to be evacuated, the evacuation of Afghan friends, minority community members, engagement with the Taliban, and security of investments.
