Lucas Pouille defeated Feliciano Lopez 6-1 6-4 in their opening match of the Winston-Salem Open in North Carolina, USA, on Monday.

Pouille dominated the opening set, losing only one game on his way to closing it with a thumping ace.

Lopez rallied somewhat in the second, but was unable to stop the Frenchman's commanding play, as Pouille closed out the match with another ace.

He faces Brit Daniel Evans in the second round
