Maharashtra: People demands for offline darshan of Bappa

Alike last year, this year also the two biggest festivals of Maharashtra, Ganesh Utsava and Dahi-Handi will be celebrated amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Ganpati Pandal and Govinda Mandal Government want some relaxation to celebrate the festival, but the Government does not want to take any risk of corona infection. BMC will take a decision after discussing with senior police officers the demand of Ganesh Mandals for offline darshan of Ganpati pandal. Recently, representatives of BMC, Mumbai Police, and Ganesh Mandals met for Ganesh Utsava in Mumbai. With regard to Ganesh Utsava starting from September 10, it has been decided that this time too, like last year, Ganesh Utsava will be celebrated by following the rules of Covid-19. The height of the Ganpati idol in public circles should not be more than 4 feet and the Ganesh idol installed in homes should not be more than 2 feet high. Watch this video.
