DOH projects over 66K active cases in NCR by end of August

The Health department says Metro Manila could have at least 66,000 active COVID-19 cases by end of the month. That is almost double the current number of active cases in the region. While authorities have yet to see the impact of the enhanced community quarantine in two to three weeks, health officials are urging local governments to do granular lockdowns as they see big lockdowns ineffective in curbing the transmission.
