India took a 1-0 lead in the Test series, registering their first win in the five-match Test series. India has played 19 Test matches so far at Lord's in which this was the team's third win. In the Lord's Test match, Indian opener batsman KL Rahul was awarded the Player of the Match title for his brilliant century. India's 151 run win in this Test match was built on the basis of KL Rahul scoring 123 runs in the first innings. However, he could score only five runs in the second innings. His innings was special and he became the fourth player for India to win the Player of the Match title in Test cricket at Lord's.


भारत ने पांच मैचों की टेस्ट सीरीज में पहली जीत दर्ज करते हुए टेस्ट सीरीज में 1-0 की बढ़त बना ली। भारत ने लार्ड्स में अब तक 19 टेस्ट मैच खेले हैं जिसमें ये टीम की तीसरी जीत रही। लार्ड्स टेस्ट मैच में भारतीय ओपनर बल्लेबाज केएल राहुल को उनकी शानदार शतकीय पारी के लिए प्लेयर आफ द मैच का खिताब दिया गया। भारत को इस टेस्ट मैच में जो 151 रन से जीत मिली उसका आधार केएल राहुल ने पहली पारी में 123 रन बनाकर तैयार किया था। राहुल ने पहली पारी में जबरदस्त जुझारूपन दिखाते हुए ये पारी खेली थी और टीम इंडिया 364 के स्कोर तक पहुंची थी। हालांकि दूसरी पारी में वो सिर्फ पांच रन ही बना पाए थे। उनकी ये पारी खास रही और वो भारत की तरफ से लार्ड्स में टेस्ट क्रिकेट में प्लेयर आफ द मैच का खिताब जीतने वाले चौथे खिलाड़ी बने।
