Teej festivals start vigorously from the month of Sawan. In this holy month of Lord Shiva, the festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated along with Hariyali Teej, Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami. By worshiping the Nag Devta who resides around the neck of this Lord Shiva, his blessings are taken. Nag Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha in Sawan. This year Naam Panchami is being celebrated on Friday, 13th August. The belief about this festival is that Lord Shiva is also pleased with you and your wishes are fulfilled by pleasing the snake deity. सावन माह से तीज त्‍योहारों की जोरदार शुरुआत हो जाती है। भगवान शिव के इस पवित्र महीने सावन में हरियाली तीज, रक्षाबंधन, जन्‍माष्टमी के साथ ही नाग पंचमी का त्‍योहार मनाया जाता है। इस भगवान शिव के गले में वास करने वाले नाग देवता की पूजा करके उनका आशीर्वाद लिया जाता है। सावन में शुक्ल पक्ष की पंचमी तिथि को Nag Panchami मनाई जाती है। इस साल नाम पंचमी 13 अगस्‍त शुक्रवार को मनाई जा रही है। इस त्‍योहार को लेकर मान्यता यह है कि नाग देवता को प्रसन्‍न करने से भगवान शिव भी आप पर प्रसन्‍न होते हैं और आपकी मनोकामनाएं पूरी होती हैं। तो इस पर्व पर मन में जो आकांक्षाएं हैं, उन्‍हें नाग देवता का पूजन कर उनसे निवेदन कीजिए। साथ ही इस पर्व की शुभकामनाएं दीजिए सभी अपनों को।
