'Intense footage filmed by Dave Mills shows the Tamarack fire spreading across highway 89.
This gripping scene was caught on camera on July 17, 2021, and by then, the said wildfire was at 0% containment.
Fast forward to the present date, close to 68,000 acres in California and Nevada have been burnt by the Tamarack fire with hundreds of evacuation orders still in progress.
It was discovered that low humidity and strong wind were the main factors behind the wildfire spreading so quickly.
Fortunately, over 50% of the fire has been contained as of July 27, 2021.
