Tasmania has recorded its first case of COVID this year, with a New South Wales man who flew into Launceston on Monday testing positive after he had already left Tasmania. Public health authorities are now tracing who the man might have had contact with in Tasmania, although they say contacts were limited because he was sent straight into hotel quarantine.
