Narottam Mishra, Madhya Pradesh Minister, Airlifted After Getting Stranded In Floods In Datia

Narottam Mishra, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister had to be airlifted after he got stuck when he went to help people stranded at a flooded area in the state. Mishra was on a survey of flood-hit Datia district in MP when he found nine people stranded on a roof. The house, apart from the terrace, was completely submerged in water. Narottam Mishra is an MLA from the same area. On witnessing this, Mishra, who was on a boat of the State Disaster Response Force along with relief workers, somehow managed to reach the stranded people despite high winds. And just before Mishra could make arrangements for helping the stranded locals, a tree broke off and fell on the boat. Reportedly, the motor of the boat stopped working soon after. Mishra immediately sent messages to government officials after which a helicopter of the Indian Air Force was sent to rescue him and the nine other stranded people, reported NDTV. The minister made sure that all the stranded people were rescued first & after that the IAF personnel lowered a rope with the help of which Mishra was safely pulled up. Watch the video to know more.
