TRASH TALK

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) conducts clean-up operations in Manila Bay on July 26, 2021 after rains spawned by the southwest monsoon washed tons of trash onto the shore. MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos said he sought the assistance of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and police in carrying out arrests of individuals who will throw garbage in Manila Bay. At least 70 personnel from MMDA Metro Parkways Clearing Group were deployed to clean out the garbage.
