The journey of Pranati Nayak, the only female player participating in the Tokyo Olympics from India as a gymnast, has come to an end. She was participating in all bars, beams and floor exercises and vault in the all round event. Pranati looked under pressure in the first round after which she regained her lost confidence. Pranati scored good marks during floor exercise.Everyone expected Pranati to do well till the end and make it to the finals but she failed to do so and failed to get India a medal.

+भारत की ओर से टोक्यो ओलिंपिक में जिमनास्ट हिस्सा ले रही एक्लौती महिला खिलाड़ी प्रणति नायक का सफर ख़तम हो चूका है। वह ऑल राउंड इवेंड में ऑल बार्स, बीम्स और फ्लोर एक्सरसाइज व वॉल्ट में हिस्सा ले रही थीं। प्रणति पहले राउंड में दबाव में नज़र आयी उसके बाद उन्होंने अपना खोया आत्मविश्वास वापस पाया। फ्लोर एक्सरसाइज के दौरान प्रणति ने अच्छे अंक हासिल किए। सभी को उम्मीद थी की प्रणति अंत तक अच्छा प्रदर्शन करेंगी और फाइनल्स में जगह बनाएंगी मगर वो ऐसा करने में नाकामयाब रही और भारत को मेडल दिलाने में असफल रही।
