ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಜೀವನ ಅಕ್ಷರಶಃ ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ನೋಡಿದೆಲ್ಲಡೆ ನೀರು, ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಮೊಣಕಾಲಿನ ಮಟ್ಟ ನೀರು ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ರಸ್ತೆಬದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಚೇರಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಹಲವಾರು ಕಾರು ಮತ್ತು ಬೈಕ್ ಗಳು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಹೋಗಿವೆ.

Life in the city is literally disrupted. Wherever there is water, there is knee-high water flowing on major roads. Several cars and bikes parked in front of the roadside and offices were washed away in the water.
