How a radio-frequency microneedling machine reduces hyperpigmentation
  • 3 years ago
Cosmetic nurse and founder of The Things We Do Vanessa Lee offers a service using the Vivace microneedle machine, which combines microneedling and safe heat stimulation with radio frequency that’s meant to work for all skin tones. Benefits of this treatment include increasing collagen production, reducing hyperpigmentation, and tightening the skin. Unlike common heat-based treatments, this treatment is safe for patients with darker skin tones because heat is not directly applied to the surface of the skin. Instead, the insulated needles project heat at only the deeper dermis. This helps treat the deeper layers of the skin without the risks of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Each Vivace treatment can cost around $800 to $900 in the Los Angeles area, although a package of three treatments is recommended. Results will appear after three to four weeks and will last 12 to 18 months for patients in their late 20s to early 40s, and six to 12 months for patients in their 50s and 60s. Lee also offers the Dew & Go Microneedling Infusion Stamp for a gentler, at-home form of microneedling.
