Maharashtra's 6 districts affected by floods, alert raised!

The floods have wreaked havoc in Maharashtra. About 6 districts of the state are in the grip of floods. Due to heavy rains, lakhs of lives have been submerged in water in many districts of Maharashtra including Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Raigad, Kolhapur, Satara. At the same time, about 80 lakh people are affected by the floods. In view of the havoc of the rains, 18 teams of National Disaster Response Force have been deployed in 6 districts in Maharashtra. At least 129 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents in Maharashtra over the last two days as the state continues to receive heavy downpours. Among the deceased are over 36 people who were killed in a landslide in Raigad district's Talai village on Thursday.
