The Olympics: for many the pinnacle of an athlete's career we speak with Keeth Smart. Smart, a native New Yorker had a unique Olympic experience. He competed in the 2000,2004 and 2008 Summer Olympic Games on the US fencing team. In 2008, Smart won the Olympic Silver medal and in 2003 Smart was the first American to be ranked first in the world internationally in Sabre fencing. It's a family affair- his sister Erinn also won a Silver medal in Bejing in 2008. Marcus Mepstead is attending his second olympics- the only fencer selected for Great Britain, after a successful World Championship in 2019, the Londoner is ready to make his mark on Tokyo. Mepstead moved to New York to pursue his training and appears unfazed by the setbacks of the pandemic. In these exclusive interviews, both men reflect on the Tokyo games and what it means to those participating.
