Research shows how face coverings help prevent spread

It's almost a year since Victoria introduced a mask mandate to help curb the spread of COVID in Melbourne. Now, a study by the Burnet Institute has found how significant that single-policy decision was. Dr Nick Scott is one of the authors of the report says the introduction of compulsory masks almost instantly helped to turn around an exponential increase in community transmission.
