Pegasus Project: Congress demands Amit Shah’s resignation, investigation on PM
  • 3 years ago
Speaking on the ‘Pegasus Project,’ Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Rajya Sabha and Congress senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge on July 19 demanded Home Minister Amit Shah’s resignation and an investigation against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the matter.

“The PM and HM are involved in snooping on Opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi, journalists and even union ministers. Before a probe, Amit Shah should resign and an inquiry should be conducted against PM Modi,” Kharge said while addressing a press conference in the national capital. It comes after the names of over 40 Indian journalists appeared on the leaked list of potential targets for surveillance by an unidentified agency using Pegasus spyware.
