Mumbai Indians’ duo of Ishan Kishan and Suuryakumar Yadav will be making their ODI debuts against Sri Lanka in the first ODI at the R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo. Interestingly, the duo had made their T20 debut together as well. Ishan Kishan is only the second Indian and overall the 16th player to make his ODI debut on birthday. Gursharan Singh was the first Indian to do so, vs Australia in Hamilton in 1990. Ishan and Yadav will be desperate for to cement their place in the upcoming T20 World Cup squad with powerful performances in this white-ball series against Sri Lanka.

बर्थडे ब्वॉय Ishan Kishan को तोहफा मिल गया है. उन्हें जन्मदिन पर डेब्यू करने का मौका मिला है. जी हाँ, Rahul Dravid और Shikhar Dhawan ने स्पेशल गिफ्ट Ishan Kishan को दिया है. यानी वनडे डेब्यू करते हुए इशान किशन नजर आएँगे. इसके अलावा उनके Mumbai Indians के ही साथी खिलाड़ी Suryakumar Yadav को भी वनडे डेब्यू करने का मौका मिला है. दोनों खिलाड़ी भारत के लिए पहला वनडे मैच खेलेंगे. इतना ही नहीं, सूर्या और Ishan Kishan दोनों ने ही टी20 इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट में एक साथ डेब्यू किया था. जहाँ इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ Ishan Kishan ने अपने पहले ही मैच में पचासा लगाया था. हालाँकि उस मुकाबले में सूर्या को बल्लेबाजी नहीं मिली थी.
