A mass pile of dead fish got washed toward the dock in this Florida city. This was due to red tide, a phenomenon caused by excessive harmful algal blooms. The suspected source of this red tide was the discharge of untreated Piney Point wastewater in Tampa Bay ends. The dead fish floated on the surface, covering the canal as far as the eye went.
