Dia Mirza announces she and husband Vaibhav blessed with baby boy
Actress Dia Mirza has been blessed with a baby boy on May 14. She announced the good news on her Instagram handle a month later on 14th June. She and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi have named the newborn Avyaan Azaad Rekhi.
The couple wed in February this year, and she announced her pregnancy in April.
Dia also told her fans that her son was born prematurely and is currently in neonatal ICU.
Dia shared a picture wherein she is seen holding the newborn's tiny hand.
She posted:
“To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU.”
“A sudden appendectomy during my pregnancy and a subsequent and very severe bacterial infection could have led to sepsis and proven to be life-threatening. Thankfully, the timely care and intervention by our doctor ensured the safe birth of our baby via an emergency C-section.”
On the work front, Dia was last seen in ‘Wild Dog’, also starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Saiyami Kher, and Atul Kulkarni.
